Enjoy al fresco dining on either of the two oceanfront decks and walk just steps to the beach access walkway! Our newly renovated, spacious, home is very well-maintained just for you, and sparkling clean. Kure'd Away is beautifully decorated and well appointed for all the comforts of home. Prepare your favorite dishes in our unusually well stocked gourmet kitchen with high quality dishes, silverware, cookware, cutlery, and many upscale serving pieces. Celebrate the morning sunrise with coffee on our private master bedroom balcony for unforgettable memories.

Welcome to the highly desirable Ocean Dunes resort! Our vacation rental is located on the oceanfront, giving you access to an expanse of stunning beachfront views at the southern tip of Pleasure Island. Enjoy the amenities of the resort, including multiple outdoor pools, tennis courts, shuffle board, grills, and playgrounds for the kids. After a day at the beach, visit the recreation center for an indoor pool, spa, sauna, exercise room and clubhouse. Relax, unwind, and make lasting memories at this beautiful destination!

Ground Level:
Assigned covered parking for two vehicles, exterior stairs to property level.
Fitness Center across the street from the 2100 building.
This is a reminder that all three outdoor pools will be closed as of October 31. They are scheduled to re-open on April 1 2024.
The Rec Center pool is opened year-round with the exception of holidays or for any routine or emergency maintenance scheduled at the Rec Center.

Level 1:

Gourmet Kitchen: full kitchen, Keurig - K-Duo 12-Cup Coffee Maker and Single Serve K-Cup Brewer

Dining Room: seating for eight at the table

Living Room: Oceanfront, large sectional sofa and ottoman, oversized chair, 65 inch smart TV with sound bar, decorative fireplace, access to oceanfront patio.

Oceanfront Deck: access from the living room and overlooks the ocean, 4 seat table, 2 barstools, 2 high-chairs, 2 lounge chairs.

Wet bar

Guest Bedroom 1: Queen over Queen bunkbeds with twin trundle, 40 inch smart TV

Full Bathroom: Vanity, shower/tub combo

Level 2:

Primary Bedroom Suite: Oceanfront, king size bed, ceiling fan, 50 inch smart TV, private access to the deck. Ensuite Bathroom: Vanity, shower/tub combo, with oceanview from bath window.

Guest bedroom 2: Upstairs, king bed,50 inch smart TV, with en suite bath with vanity and shower/tub combo

Washer and Dryer: In the hallway

Rental Policies:
In response to increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4pm and are guaranteed by 6pm
Ooff Season Check-ins begin at 3pm and are guaranteed by 5pm
Check out is by 10 AM.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Electronic lock entry.

House Rules:
NO events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
NO Smoking

Pet Policy:
No pets allowed with travelers. The Ocean Dunes Community has a strict policy that only condo owners are allowed to bring pets.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re rented. If premises are re rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

*This property has pest control scheduled for the second Tuesday-Thursday of every month. You do not need to be present, but access must be granted.*

Things to do:

Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!

Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Rent a Jeep, bicycle, or golf cart as the most convenient ways to navigate the island. Very nice condo! 01/25/2024

This condo is clean and spacious. The kitchen is stocked with all of your needs. It is only steps to the beach and the view from the balcony is amazing. The extra storage room where you park is nice. You can put bikes and beach equipment inside out of site. We will stay here again.

The location of this property is fantastic!! Such a wonderful view and right on the beach. The walk from the condo to the beach was super short which made beach going with 3 small kids easy. The property itself was nicely furnished and clean. The layout worked well for our family and the dining table was large enough to accommodate all 7 of us. Would definitely recommend this property!

We stayed for spring break and although the weather was cold then hot (literal extremes), we had a blast! The condo was clean and location to the beach and indoor pool/clubhouse was great! We would definitely recommend this location for those with children. Check in and check out was a breeze as well (not having to visit the office was definitely a plus)! We hope to be able to book again in the future! Thank you for having us!

The house was literally right on the beach! Spacious and clean! We appreciated the private balconies and the closed garage storage for beach supplies. About 10 minute drive to restaurants in Carolina beach. The beach was uncrowded which we loved. Highly recommend!

Ocean Dunes at Kure Beach is a quiet end of the island. The condos are comfortable and the beach is clean and very walkable, all the way to the pier. This was our second stay in Kure with family in the area and we will likely be back.

We could not have ask for a better place to stay, plenty of room for the 5 adults,very clean.. one of the siblings was overwhelmed at the beautiful view of the ocean (he had never been to the ocean before) and he is 71 yrs young the neighbors were very quite and it was a very peaceful time..thank you
