Welcome to Ocean Dunes 503 Pelican! Our oceanfront condo offers an unbeatable getaway experience with nicely updated furnishings and high end kitchen appointments! Our top floor unit features a private sun deck perfect for enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and solid surface countertops. Ship lap accents in kitchen and bathrooms add to the charm. The shared charcoal grill is right below our unit, as is the outdoor pool and beach access boardwalk. Our side yard hosts a large shared Gazebo with multiple picnic tables to enjoy larger al fresco meals with your friends. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity!

Welcome to the highly desirable Ocean Dunes resort! Our vacation rental is located on the oceanfront, giving you access to an expanse of stunning beachfront views at the southern tip of Pleasure Island. Enjoy the amenities of the resort, including multiple outdoor pools, tennis courts, shuffle board, grills, and playgrounds for the kids. After a day at the beach, visit the recreation center for an indoor pool, spa, sauna, exercise room and clubhouse. Relax, unwind, and make lasting memories at this beautiful destination!

Ground Level:

Assigned covered parking for two vehicles, exterior stairs to property level.
Fitness Center across the street from the 2100 building.
This is a reminder that all three outdoor pools will be closed as of October 31. They are scheduled to re-open on April 1 2024.
The Rec Center pool is opened year-round with the exception of holidays or for any routine or emergency maintenance scheduled at the Rec Center.

This is a second floor unit.

Primary Bedroom Suite: King bed, TV, Deck access, Ensuite Bathroom with Bathtub and Shower.

Deck: Oceanfront, uncovered, Table w/ seating for 4, 2 dining chairs, 2 Adirondack chairs

Parking: 2 Assigned Spaces. Guest parking available on a first-come, first-serve basis

Other Things to note: Allergy disclosure: Owner's cat may have visted the condo before your stay.

Rental Policies:
In response to increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4pm and are guaranteed by 6pm
Off Season Check-ins begin at 3pm and are guaranteed by 5pm
Check out is by 10 AM.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

House Rules:
NO events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities

You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Pet Policy: No pets allowed with travelers. The Ocean Dunes Community has a strict policy that only condo owners are allowed to bring pets. Those with allergies should be aware that the property owner has a cat who may have visited prior.

Ccancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re rented. If premises are re rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

*This property has pest control scheduled for the second Tuesday-Thursday of every month. You do not need to be present, but access must be granted.*

Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!

Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Rent a Jeep, bicycle, or golf cart as the most convenient ways to navigate the island. Annual off- season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

The condo was just as pictured! 08/29/2023

The condo was just as pictured! The balcony has the perfect view of the beach! Unfortunately a storm came through and it rained with high winds the entire weekend. Thankfully the condo had board games, Netflix and a fully stocked kitchen! The condo is in a great quiet location but still very close to all the restaurants & grocery stores. Sea Coast Rentals were also great to work with and always answered me right away. 10/10, I would highly recommend staying here!

We enjoyed our 5 weeks in 503 Ocean Dunes! October was a perfectly delicious weather month to be on the beach. The condo had plenty of space when the grandchildren came to visit. The bar area and dining area were perfect when the family was in town. Lots of space with the 3 bedrooms and the kids bedroom slept 4 easily. We loved watching sunrises, moonrises, on the oceanfront deck and sunset at the front porch. Being able to listen to the ocean at night and amenities such as the pools and hot tub were extra special. And what a fabulous convivence to be able to just walk out to the beach access and collect shells, swim and build sand castles. We appreciate the support from Kim and Sea Coast rentals during our stay at 503 Ocean Dunes Kure Beach.

Perfect for a family of four who loved the beach!

The location on the beach was perfect. The accommodations were clean upon our arrival with all amenities as stated. Any questions before and during our stay were promptly responded too. You will need to drive to the local commercial areas of Kure and Carolina Beach for supplies or eating out but the serenity and beach view from this location far outweigh any inconvenience of getting into the car for a short 2-3 mile drive. The only negative in our stay was not being there longer.
