We have furnished our home with comfortable and stylish pieces that will make you feel right at home. Enjoy pure, refreshing drinking water with our Reverse Osmosis filtration system—convenience and quality right at your fingertips. Relax and enjoy your stay!

Welcome to the highly desirable Ocean Dunes resort! Our vacation rental is located on the oceanfront, giving you access to an expanse of stunning beachfront views at the southern tip of Pleasure Island. Enjoy the amenities of the resort, including multiple outdoor pools, shuffleboard, grills, and playgrounds for the kids. After a day at the beach, visit the recreation center for an indoor pool, spa, sauna, exercise room and clubhouse. Relax, unwind, and make lasting memories at this beautiful destination! Note: there are no facilities at Ocean Dunes for charging golf carts. Ocean Dunes covered parking is not suitable for large SUVs, please seek a first come first serve visitor parking spot for large vehicles. Always use your parking pass!

Ground Level:
Assigned covered parking for two vehicles, exterior stairs to the property level.
Fitness Center across the street from the 2100 building.
The Rec Center pool is open year-round with the exception of holidays or for any routine or emergency maintenance scheduled at the Rec Center.

Level 1:
Living Room: Full-Size Couch, Love Seat, Chair with Ottoman, Recliner, Ceiling Fan, Roku TV,
Deck Access.
Kitchen: Seating for 5 at the Bar, Electric Stove.
Dining Room: Seating for 6 at Dining Table.
Bathroom: Full, Shower/Tub Combo.
Guest Bedroom 1: 2 Twin Beds, Ceiling Fan, Smart TV, DVD Player.
Washer and Dryer.

Level 2:
Guest Bedroom 2: Queen Bed, Ceiling Fan, SmartTV.
Guest Bathroom: En Suite, Full, Shower/TubCombo.
Primary Bedroom Suite: King Bed, Recliner, Ceiling Fan, Roku TV, Private Deck. Ensuite Bathroom: Full, Shower/TubCombo.

Parking: Assigned Parking Labeled 1301 - Under Building. Guest parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis

Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and lying on the end of the beds.

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Guest Access:
Hard key.

House Rules:
No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
No smoking
You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Pool Notice:
Pools are generally open from Memorial Day until Labor Day; however, pool closures may be dictated by the HOA or the Health Department. Pools may also be closed after a hurricane or tropical storm. Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable. No refunds will be issued for these closures.

Pet Policy:
No pets allowed.

Cancellation Policy:
We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.

Adventure awaits on Pleasure Island. Exploring the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, home to incredible coastal wildlife, or take the scenic car ferry across the Cape Fear River for a relaxing visit to the charming town of Southport where quaint streets are filled with unique antique shops and galleries. History lovers can walk the scenic, live‑oak‑lined trails of the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, where Civil War bunkers still stand. Nature enthusiasts will love the island’s two state‑managed coastal preserves: Carolina Beach State Park, home to rare Venus flytraps found naturally only in this region, and the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, known for pristine beaches, marshes, and wildlife viewing. Getting Around

Getting around Pleasure Island is a breeze! While parking can be limited in peak season, especially in popular spots, paid private or public parking is available. We recommend exploring Carolina Beach and Kure Beach on foot or by bike – they're super walkable and bike-friendly. You'll find safe pedestrian and bike routes, including the Island Greenway. Renting a golf cart or bike is easy, too, with several local rental companies. Golf carts are one of the easiest ways to cruise around the island. Rentals are simple to arrange, and once you're behind the wheel, you can zip along any road posted 35 mph or under.

"We enjoyed our stay at Ocean Dunes and are thankful to have discovered this spot after having to pivot our beach plans last minute! This condo is located very close to the ocean waterfront (next to a public access boardwalk which was not busy in the off-season), community amenities were great (specifically the indoor pool), and the proximity and ease of access to nearby activities and points of interest (Fort Fisher aquarium, Southport ferry, Fort Fisher, Coquina Rocks, Carolina Beach State Park) was extremely convenient. The space was very comfortable for our family and we are thankful we got to stay here for the week!

"The property was extremely clean when we arrived. Access to the beach was super convenient, as was the pool/recreation center. Sea Coast Rentals checked in with us periodically throughout our stay to be sure that everything was satisfactory. We enjoyed the locally owned restaurants nearby, and had a great stay overall.

"Was awesome we did not want to leave. We are going back in April when the kids are out of school so they can enjoy theirselves when it’s warmer .. Ocean Dunes was fantastic & on the sand . The place was beautiful very clean they had it all . . We always stayed in Kure everything is few miles up road .. Thanks Sea Coast !

"This is our second year staying at 1301. We love the easy access to the beach and pool. The condo is clean and spacious with an amazing deck overlooking the ocean. We had a couple rainy days and access to the indoor pool and hot tub was fantastic. We'll be renting this condo again for a third time in 2026.

A home away from home

"We have been visiting Kure Beach for more than 30 years. And have stayed in Ocean Dunes 1301 at least 15 times. It's our grandkids' favorite beach home! (We only rented another unit the year that the hurricane caused major damage to 1301.) Last year's living room and balcony furniture updates have made it even cozier. Every year, the instant we walk in the door, we feel it's our home away from home. Installing the new sliding doors has been a great improvement. The only other way to improve 1301 would be to replace the shelves on the refrigerator door. They've been "missing/broken" for several years. We're used to it, but it might help other people.

"We were very pleased with this rental. It had everything we needed for a relaxing week on the beach. The beach was right out the door so there was no need to pack up and haul a large amount of our things to the water each day. The size of the rental exceeded our expectations. There was PLENTY of room for our family of five. The kitchen was stocked with anything you could need for the week including a blender, Keurig, and freezer ice maker. Our only complaints were that we had to make the beds when we arrived and put the towels away, the decks are in need of refinishing as they are warped and you can easily get slivers, and the upstairs deck does not have screens so you can not leave the doors open. The recreation center was across the street from the rental. The pool area was clean. They had sports equipment for outdoor activities to sign out which was nice. The only negative there was the hot tub was extremely small. We would definitely rent a property with Sea Coast Rentals again!!
