Welcome to Ocean Dunes 2005 Wait N Sea! Let the breezes on the oceanfront sun deck whisk you away to happiness. This family-friendly vacation rental is perfect for a relaxing beach getaway! You'll have plenty of space for the kids to curl up with a great movie on the flat creen TV with the big comfy sofa bed. Two Guest rooms allow for extended family, and Mom and Dad have their own private retreat with their own access to the deck and a remodeled Ensuite bathroom. You'll have all the standard amenities, including a fully-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and complimentary Wi-Fi to keep you feeling at home.

Welcome to the highly desirable Ocean Dunes resort! Our vacation rental is located on the oceanfront, giving you access to an expanse of stunning beachfront views at the southern tip of Pleasure Island. Enjoy the amenities of the resort, including multiple outdoor pools, tennis courts, shuffle board, grills, and playgrounds for the kids. After a day at the beach, visit the recreation center for an indoor pool, spa, sauna, exercise room and clubhouse. Relax, unwind, and make lasting memories at this beautiful destination!

Ground Level:
Assigned covered parking for two vehicles, exterior stairs to property level.
Fitness Center across the street from the 2100 building.
This is a reminder that all three outdoor pools will be closed as of October 31. They are scheduled to re-open on April 1 2024.
The Rec Center pool is opened year-round with the exception of holidays or for any routine or emergency maintenance scheduled at the Rec Center.

Property Level:

Primary Bedroom Suite: Oceanfront, TV, queen bed, ceiling fan, private access to the sun deck. Ensuite Bathroom: vanity, new walk-in shower with bench.

Guest Bedroom 1: Queen bed, TV.

Full Bathroom: vanity, shower/tub combo.

Guest Bedroom 2: Two twin beds, TV.

Kitchen: full kitchen, seating for 4 at the bar.

Dining Room: seating for 6 at the table.

Living Room: Oceanfront, wall mounted TV, Queen sofa sleeper, Loveseat, plenty of side seating.

Deck: access from the living room and master bedroom. Overlooks the ocean. Generous seating and outdoor dining.

Rental Policies:

In response to increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-Ins (June-August) begin at 4pm and are guaranteed by 6pm
Off Season Check-Ins begin at 3pm and are guaranteed by 5pm
Check Out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Electronic lock entry.

House Rules:
No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
No Smoking

Pet Policy:
No pets allowed with travelers. The Ocean Dunes Community has a strict policy that only condo owners are allowed to bring pets.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re rented. If premises are re rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

*This property has pest control scheduled for the second Tuesday-Thursday of every month. You do not need to be present, but access must be granted.*

Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!

Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Rent a Jeep, bicycle, or golf cart as the most convenient ways to navigate the island. Annual off- season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

Wonderful location, and exactly as described. Property is now managed by a company, but they also were kind and helpful with any issues. Wait N Sea was plenty big enough for our group of 8. The kids took turns on the pull out so they could all have a turn falling asleep listening to the ocean. Very clean and quiet. Our teenagers were a little bored but the adults loved being away from the hustle of the boardwalk (5 miles away). A tip in general for future tenants….get a golf cart for your stay! They come with a parking permit and it’s just easy fun for the kids!

We enjoyed our stay so much! A fully furnished kitchen helped us to be able to have more time as a family and not having to leave the beach. We enjoyed the recreation center. Nice pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and bathroom. Very clean. All of this at a good and decent price. Possibly returning in the future.
