Our premiere, newly constructed, custom-built home features a brand new private backyard pool and hot tub shared with the duplex next door. Relax in your lounge chair under the palm trees at the pool with a Mai Tai and a good book. Or, stroll easily from our beautiful home just a one-block walk to the Oyster Shell public beach access for a day of fun. On the street side of our house, you will delight in a wonderful view of the Carolina Beach canal and marina from every window and deck. We are steps away from Carolina Beach Mooring Field's dinghy dockand the North End Mini Mart Cafe. So, take a break from your sailing cruise: get your sea legs back in luxury at Slack Tide. Your friends can moor nearby and join you for a bit of comfort with multiple bedrooms, private balconies, and bathrooms allowing you all the great rest and privacy you need. Bring the family: Slack Tide has Baby Equipment, Beach Toys, and Roku smart TVs in every bedroom. You can even bring your furry friend: Beach Life doesn't get any better than this!

Covered parking under the house for up to 3 cars, size dependent. Driveway parking for one or two smaller cars. This is a shared drive entrance: do not block the neighbor.

Linens - Beds will be made with clean sheets, bath towels will be laying on the end of the beds, bathmats provided in each bathroom, kitchen towel and dish sponge provided. (Guest will need to make any trundle, sofa beds, or top bunks.)

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Guest Access:
Electronic Entry.

House Rules:
No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
No smoking
You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Elevator Policies:
Please note, the elevator is for convenience only and does not guarantee ADA Compliance or Wheelchair accessibility. Although elevators are checked on a regular basis, Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable if the elevator is not operating or functioning properly during your stay. No refunds will be issued for these closures.

Pool Notice:
Pools are generally open from Memorial Day until Labor Day; however, pool closures may be dictated by the HOA or the Health Department. Pools may also be closed after a hurricane or tropical storm. Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable. No refunds will be issued for these closures.

Pet Policy:
Dogs Allowed. The first dog is included in the price of the Rental. Subsequent dogs are subject to an additional payment and restrictions! Carolina and Kure Beaches are pet-friendly, but you must follow town guidelines. Please check the town website for beach pet restrictions.

Cancellation Policy:
We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.

Neighborhood

Adventure awaits on Pleasure Island. Exploring the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, home to incredible coastal wildlife, or take the scenic car ferry across the Cape Fear River for a relaxing visit to the charming town of Southport where quaint streets are filled with unique antique shops and galleries. History lovers can walk the scenic, live‑oak‑lined trails of the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, where Civil War bunkers still stand. Nature enthusiasts will love the island’s two state‑managed coastal preserves: Carolina Beach State Park, home to rare Venus flytraps found naturally only in this region, and the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, known for pristine beaches, marshes, and wildlife viewing. Both offer beautiful opportunities for hiking, paddling, fishing, and spotting pelicans or even nesting loggerhead sea turtles.

Getting Around

Getting around Pleasure Island is a breeze! While parking can be limited in peak season, especially in popular spots, paid private or public parking is available. We recommend exploring Carolina Beach and Kure Beach on foot or by bike – they're super walkable and bike-friendly. You'll find safe pedestrian and bike routes, including the Island Greenway. Renting a golf cart or bike is easy, too, with several local rental companies. Golf carts are one of the easiest ways to cruise around the island. Rentals are simple to arrange, and once you're behind the wheel, you can zip along any road posted 35 mph or under.

"Check-in was seamless! The house was beautiful and exactly as described. It took us less than 2 minutes to walk to the beach and so close to the markets, restaurants and shops. About a 25 minute drive into Wilmington. The views from the main living area were excellent! We would return!

Beautiful home but not well maintained

"This home is advertised as "new build," but it's actually over 5 years old and looks and feels beat up. I believe the owners had good intentions when they built it, but unfortunately, due to lack of maintenance by the rental company, it's now dirty and grimy. The furniture in the living area was stained and dirty, and the bar stools were just gross! We rented it August 9- 16, 2025 and when I complained about the filth, their only response was "they do a deep clean at the end of the season". So according to them, although we paid the same amount as the June /July tenants, we should not have expected a clean unit! The elevator did not work the entire time we were there. Lugging coolers, and belongings up and down 4 flights of stairs was not fun! The cooktop and hot water are gas powered, and it ran out of gas midweek. We could not cook or take showers/baths for almost 24 hours. We were told they do not consider it an emergency until it's been 24 hours. I'm writing this in hopes the owners read it and realize what a terrible job the rental company is doing to maintain this home. Every summer we rent a large beach or river home for our family. I always read reviews when I'm searching for a summer rental before I commit. I have never written a bad review, hence the reason I've waited this long to write this one, but I feel those who decide on a rental by reading the reviews should know what our experience with Sea Coast Rentals was. I rented this home simply because it was advertised as "new". My thought was it must be clean and updated because it's new ! If you notice they are still advertising as new , but they don't tell you it's been a short term rental for 5 years.! IT IS NOT NEW ! And I doubt it's ever been deep cleaned ! We will never again rent from Sea Coast Rentals.

"Everything was as listed, clean, nice kitchen great spot - only thing is bedrooms very bright. Great time was had by all! Bring your own beach towels if you go to beach and or want more than one bath towel per person. If you need dark rooms to sleep I suggest you bring a sleep mask, rooms are very bright.

"We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our family reunion at Carolina Beach. This home was gorgeous and so thoughtfully prepared. It was filled with new and state of the art appliances, an elevator to help haul groceries to the kitchen and spacious dining area on the top floor… and situated in a way that you could enjoy the beach view and canal simultaneously. When I had a question, we received a phone call back immediately to help find an answer. Our time there was exceptional and I’m willing to bet you can’t find a better place to stay for a big family. Check out Havana’s restaurant, the Fisher Aquarium and walk down the beach for tacos and gelato at the boardwalk!
