You will feel anything but blue when you join us for large family meal prep in our kitchen with a vast countertop workspace, custom tilework, and modern stainless steel appliances, even a full bar and wine fridge. Quality abounds throughout our spacious home, from woodwork to furniture, making you feel honored, relaxed, and restful. Six beautifully decorated bedrooms enhance the privacy and pleasure of your home away from home. Stroll through the palm trees and spend the day frolicking in the surf. Your whole family will thrive at Sandsteps 616-2.

You'll be sure to flourish at the small and exclusive Sandstep Retreat community, where you can luxuriate in the shared community oceanfront pool, stroll to the beach on your shared private beach boardwalk, and fall in love with the island charm of Sandsteps. We are an Upper/Lower Duplex: If you are coming with a second family, also book Sandstep 616-1 below us for a total of 9 bedrooms!

Ground Level:
Covered, tandem parking for 5 vehicles (size dependent.) Elevator or Stairwell access to property level, Shared Pool, Outdoor shower, and Beach access.
Our property has a second-story entrance.

Pool hours are from 9 AM to dusk. The maximum number of guests allowed in the pool area at any given time is 16, including children. Guest count will be monitored by the HOA.

Parking:
Parking for 5 vehicles in the assigned bay

Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and laying on the end of the beds.

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Off Season Check-ins begin at 3 pm and are guaranteed by 5 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Guest Access:
Hard key.

House Rules:
No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
No smoking
You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Pool Notice:
Pools are generally open from Memorial Day until Labor Day; however, pool closures may be dictated by the HOA or the Health Department. Pools may also be closed after a hurricane or tropical storm. Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable. No refunds will be issued for these closures.

Pet Policy:
No pets allowed.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation debit.
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re-rented. If premises are re-rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation debit.

Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak-covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Rent a Jeep, bicycle, or golf cart as the most convenient ways to navigate the island. Wonderful house for big family

"We are repeat customers for this property and again. We were so happy to rent this property for our large family beach vacation. The bedrooms are generous in size, the kitchen is large enough to cook big meals, the cleanliness of each room upon arrival is great, and the kids absolutely love the pool combo with the beach!! "It was a great place and nice location. Only negative is that I did not realize how early the pool closes. It closes around 8-9 PM. But in the end it was fine and the kids enjoyed the house!

"This townhouse had everything you might want or need and plenty of space for three families to spread out. I gave it four stars only because the internet is AWFUL. The pool is shared by 4 buildings with multiple units but it was never a problem with being overcrowded. The view is exceptional with a short walk to the beach. We had a great time. We rented a golf cart for the week which was a plus to just run around in and save getting sand in the car.

Perfect Place for Large Family

"This house was exactly as described in the listing. The six bedrooms accommodated our family of multiple generations perfectly. There was plenty of space in the living, dining, kitchen area for all to gather together for meals and games. The kids loved the pool as well as the ocean. It was walking distance to the boardwalk. We enjoyed our week there and would love to do it again.

"We had a great time - the location was perfect - we were able to walk to the boardwalk for donuts, easy access to the beach and the property was wonderful. we had a few elderly guests staying with us and the elevator elevated the experience (no pun intended. ;)) I highly recommend if you're thinking about coming to the beach with a large group!

"Great vacation. Beautiful house, comfortable furniture, loved the pool & easy access to the beach. Had a problem with hot water in showers but it was fixed quickly. Was disappointed that the grill was not available and only option was for us to rent one. Other than that it was a great vacation for all of us.

"We were heartbroken that Hurricane Florence ruined our plans to come to the Carolina Beach Dragonboat Festival on Sept. 13th (cancelled). A houseful of family and friends pooled our funds and were so looking forward to the beach house! It looks so amazing and beautiful. We hope the house fared well during all that wind and water and we really hope to be able to reschedule for a later date. Most of us have managed through hurricanes since we were coming from Charleston, SC. Stay safe residents of Carolina Beach and Seacoast Rental staff during the cleanup and aftermath of the storm.

"Sandstep 616-2 is the perfect property for a large group of people . The spacious living, dining & kitchen area gives everyone plenty of room while offering a perfect view of the ocean. The bedrooms are very large as well and are beautifully decorated. The elevator was the perfect added touch for those with mobility problems, or when carrying in luggage or bags of groceries. I could not ask for more. This was our 2nd time staying at Sandstep 616-2 in the past 2 years and we hope to make it a yearly tradition. Katrina is awesome! Very helpful and courteous. She is a great asset to your staff.

"This is a fantastic place. Fourteen members of our family went to NC for a wedding. The house was perfect and we actually changed the plans for the rehearsal dinner and had a BBQ at the house. Those who decided to stay in a hotel ended up spending most of there time on the beach with us. One certain person decided the beach was the perfect place to propose. It was a wonderful vacation spot. Plenty of room. Very neat and clean. The elevator worked perfectly for my husband who cannot walk up stairs. I would not hesitate a moment to rent this home in the future. My only suggestion would be that beach towels could be offered in the linen package.

"The Sandstep 616-2 was the perfect property for my family's fall beach retreat. We had more than enough room for 7 adults and 3 children. Each bedroom is beautifully decorated, and the large kitchen, dining and living room made it comfortable for everyone the enjoy at once. We hope to make the Sandstep our permanent choice for our yearly weekend at Carolina Beach. It could not have been more perfect for all of us. "A GREAT BIG THANKS to United Beach Vacations. What a fantastic group of folks to do business with. The Sandstep 616 property was a beautiful place to stay. We booked the 2nd and 3rd floors for 11 adults and 6 kids. Plenty of room and having an elevator for a "disabled vet" and my 87 year old Mother was a God's Send. The elevator was a little slow but this is not a problem. Greatful that it was there. With an in-ground pool and the easy access to the ocean, everyone had a great time. Plenty of room for everyone to eat at the same time. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals. The frying pans were "well used" and sticking was a problem, especially eggs. We also had some problems with the refrigerator ice maker and the "wet bar" ice maker did not work. This being said, I would rate this property an A-. Would I rent this property again??????? Yes....Yes.....Yes
