Welcome to Sea View - Surf Shack, where stunning sea views greet you from every window! Al Fresco dining is a breeze on our beautiful balcony, overlooking the surf. Escape the crowded public beach access points: grab your beach blanket and Yeti and take the private beach access from our small condo community. Our Surf-themed condo has been completely renovated and comes furnished with lots of upgrades, yet is still one of the most affordable vacation condos on the island! You'll have the best of both worlds at The Surf Shack: Eat quietly at home or take the .7-mile stroll on the sand down to The Boardwalk and all the restaurants, bars, carnival rides, and nightlife you could want.

Ground Level:
Covered spot under the building for one car, plus a parking lot spot for the second car. Interior stairwell to the property level. Private community boardwalk to the beach.

We are a second-floor condo.
Open Floor Plan, Living Area: Sectional Sofa, Soft Cocktail Ottoman, Side Chair, Entertainment Center with Smart TV, Double door access to deck.

Parking:
Parking is limited to 1 midsize car and one additional small car; must use hang tags. This parking lot is not suitable for SUVs.

Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and laying on the end of the beds.

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Guest Access:
Electronic Entry.

House Rules:
No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
No smoking

Pet Policy:
No pets allowed.

We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.

Things to do:
Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak-covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!
Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, an arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Annual off-season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

Adventure awaits on Pleasure Island. Exploring the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, home to incredible coastal wildlife, or take the scenic car ferry across the Cape Fear River for a relaxing visit to the charming town of Southport where quaint streets are filled with unique antique shops and galleries. History lovers can walk the scenic, live‑oak‑lined trails of the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, where Civil War bunkers still stand. Nature enthusiasts will love the island’s two state‑managed coastal preserves: Carolina Beach State Park, home to rare Venus flytraps found naturally only in this region, and the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, known for pristine beaches, marshes, and wildlife viewing. Both offer beautiful opportunities for hiking, paddling, fishing, and spotting pelicans or even nesting loggerhead sea turtles.

Getting Around

Getting around Pleasure Island is a breeze! While parking can be limited in peak season, especially in popular spots, paid private or public parking is available. We recommend exploring Carolina Beach and Kure Beach on foot or by bike – they're super walkable and bike-friendly. You'll find safe pedestrian and bike routes, including the Island Greenway. Renting a golf cart or bike is easy, too, with several local rental companies. Golf carts are one of the easiest ways to cruise around the island. Rentals are simple to arrange, and once you're behind the wheel, you can zip along any road posted 35 mph or under.

"First time visiting Carolina beach and all I can saw is wow. The location was perfect, the condo was clean with an awesome view. We could walk to anything we wanted and the beach was amazing with very little crowd. This may be our new vacation spot as the entire family had the best time just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Our only complaint was that you could hear all of the noise from neighbors, and you can hear and fell all the footsteps above as we had a big group staying above us with kids so there was a lot of step noise, but not enough to kill our good vibes.

"Easy entry for property. Close enough to everything. Clean all around. Easiest access to beach. The location is busy over 4th of July and is noisy. Only complaint would be the mirrors were shorter than a few of us and kitchen faucet has low pressure, but I think it’s a faucet issue. Would stay her again anytime!

"Great location. Overall the condo was nice but you could tell it was older and had been updated in the last several years. We did have a problem with sugar ants. Also the parking was a little difficult because the unit’s parking space was close to the others leaving little room to maneuver.

"Our first time ever in Carolina Beach, and the Seaview D Surf Shack was perfect for our family of four. The place was just as pictured; and loved that we would walk right out to the beach from the condo and loved the view from the balcony! It was peaceful, quiet, and relaxing.
