Welcome to Ocean Dunes 1002 Carpe Diem! You will feel like a million bucks when you step out onto your own private deck on this top-floor unit, featuring jaw-dropping ocean views that are sure to put a smile on everyone’s face! Enjoy more ocean views than anyone else in the complex from your corner windows, in this bright, light and cheerful home.

Welcome to the highly desirable Ocean Dunes resort! Our vacation rental is located on the oceanfront, giving you access to an expanse of stunning beachfront views at the southern tip of Pleasure Island. Enjoy the amenities of the resort, including multiple outdoor pools, tennis courts, shuffleboard, grills, and playgrounds for the kids. After a day at the beach, visit the recreation center for an indoor pool, spa, sauna, exercise room and clubhouse. Relax, unwind, and make lasting memories at this beautiful destination! Note: there are no facilities at Ocean Dunes for charging golf carts. Ocean Dunes covered parking is not suitable for large SUVs, please seek a first come first serve visitor parking spot for large vehicles. Always use your parking pass!

Ground Level:
Assigned covered parking for two vehicles, and exterior stairs to the property level.
Fitness Center across the street from the 2100 building.
The Rec Center pool is open year-round except holidays or for any routine or emergency maintenance scheduled at the Rec Center.

This is a third-floor condo.
Kitchen: Bar seating for 3, Electric stove, Upgraded appliances.
Dining Room: Seating for 4 at Table.
Living Room: Couch, Chair, Recliner, Chair w/ footstool, TV, Deck access
Deck: Oceanfront, Dining Table w/ 4 chairs, Pub table w/ 2 chairs

Parking: Assigned Parking Labeled 1002 - Under Building.

Guest parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis

Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and laying on the end of the beds.

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Off Season Check-ins begin at 3 pm and are guaranteed by 5 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Guest Access:
Hard key.

House Rules:
No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
No smoking
You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Pool Notice:
Pools are generally open from Memorial Day until Labor Day; however, pool closures may be dictated by the HOA or the Health Department. Pools may also be closed after a hurricane or tropical storm. Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable. No refunds will be issued for these closures.

Pet Policy:
No pets allowed.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation debit.
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re-rented. If premises are re-rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation debit.

Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak-covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!

Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, an arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Rent a Jeep, bicycle, or golf cart as the most convenient ways to navigate the island. Annual off-season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

"Carpe Diem: A Coastal Getaway to Remember Our stay at Carpe Diem in the Ocean Dunes community was everything we hoped for-peaceful, beautiful, and full of unforgettable family moments. The condo was spotless and welcoming, with a balcony view that made morning coffee feel magical. We loved strolling the Kure Beach Pier, riding the ferry to charming Southport, and savoring fresh seafood at Provision Company. Evenings were for board games and waves in the background-a perfect unwind. Carpe Diem lived up to its name-it gave us the space to slow down, connect, and truly enjoy each other. We can't wait to come back.

"Great condo This was a great condo and we loved how close it was to the beach- you can heat the waves even with all the doors and windows shut! The only thing that was an issue is many of the blinds need to be updated. One thing that would be a game changer is blackout curtains in the master bedroom as a lot of light comes in during the morning. Sea coast properties did a great job of addressing my concerns with covid and accommodating a special request. I overall loved this property .

"Property was nice. My only comments would be that it would be nice to have more bar height outdoor furniture! We loved the 2 bar height chairs! They were our favorite so we could set up high, rest our feet on the deck railing and watch the ocean.

"Ocean Dunes 1002 was an absolutely perfect place to spend a week at Kure Beach with our family of four. The unit was well decorated, clean, and conveniently located near a beach access and a swimming pool. There were amenities in the unit that we were not expecting that came in handy (hair dryers, wine bottle openers, coffee mugs, a blu-ray player, etc.) and we never felt like we were missing something. We got lucky with great weather and not a single sound was heard from any of the surrounding units. The balcony deck overlooking the beach and very close ocean was the highlight of our stay at this unit. We spent a good number of hours watching and listening to the waves on that deck. We are definitely considering staying here again in the future.

"Really enjoyed the week. The condo was extremely nice and the location was fantastic. Pretty much had the beach to ourselves. We travel down from Fayetteville twice a year and stay for a week. We used to stay at Golden Sands everytime, but decided to try a condo at Ocean Dunes a couple of years ago. Best choice we ever made. The location is perfect. Away from crowds and quiet. Will stay there again in the fall. Highly recommend.

"Great condo directly on the beach. We had an excellent stay; our unit is perfect for a couple or a small family. The furnishings were comfortable, both inside the unit and on the deck. The unit itself was very quiet. I am a quiet freak and we never heard the family with children below us. This was very important since noise disruption can put a damper on my holiday. The only change I would make (and it's small) is to have more tupperware types of containers for storing leftovers. I would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you.
