Things To Do on Topsail Island
Topsail Island is a hidden gem along the NC coast, known for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and charming coastal towns like Surf City. From sunbathing and swimming to fishing and surfing, there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy on this beautiful island. Explore the local shops and restaurants, take a fishing cruise out with an area fishing guide, or simply relax on the beach and soak up the sun. With so much to see and do on Topsail Island, your vacation will be filled with unforgettable memories and moments of pure relaxation. Topsail Island is a 28-mile-long barrier island made up of marshes, estuaries, dunes, and shorelines. Sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, “Tops’l” as the locals call it, is home to several fishing piers including the Seaview Fishing Pier. 875 feet of planks were used to construct this pier, which is the longest pier on the North Carolina coast. Privately owned shops, restaurants and attractions abound on Topsail, as well as the neighboring mainland towns. Learn the history of Topsail at the Missiles and More Museum and understand how to be a good steward of the sea at the Touch Tank Aquarium in Surf City and the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center for laid back and family friendly things to do on Topsail. Each of these attractions offers its own unique charm and adds to the allure of a vacation on Topsail Island.

Absolutely beautiful!

Review Date: December 17, 2025

Vacation Date: August 1, 2025

"The house was absolutely beautiful. The whole house was spotless. Loved that they use a laundry service. Everything was individually packed and placed on beds. House is on a dead end road which made the surrounding area feel safe for my kids. Sea Coast Rentals was always so quick to respond to my messages as well. We will definitely be staying here again.

"Exceptional rental! I have never stayed at the beach with such a nicely furnished and stocked home. Also, VERY clean! The house is on a quiet street with only a 2 minute walk to the beach. Close enough to Surf City that you can enjoy all of the restaurants and amenities it has to offer! Highly recommend!!

Great Experience

Vacation Date: July 27, 2024

"We vacationed in Surf City for the first time this Summer and had a great experience. The house Into the Mystic was clean, had a great layout, and had outside decks that were awesome. We will use Sea Coast Rentals again and would recommend them to friends and family.

Nice Property

Review Date: May 30, 2024

Vacation Date: May 23, 2024

"The home was very well appointed with new appliances and a stocked kitchen. From the upper porch you could see both the sound and the ocean. It was a short walk to the beach access and the beach itself. One thing to note, we did not chose the linen package as we brought our own however the amenities did list towels which we assumed would also include bath mats; there were neither. The check in instructions mentioned the WiFi password was "TBD"; I had to call the office the day after check in to get that information as it was not listed anywhere in the home. (Donna in the office as super helpful) Also the microwave and outside shower did not work. We would likely stay again knowing we would ask to check on these items in advance.

Response from Sea Coast Rentals:
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you loved the new appliances, stocked kitchen, and incredible view. The short walk to the beach is perfect! We apologize for the confusion with bath towels/mats and the missing Wi-Fi password. We've updated our listings and followed up on the microwave and shower. We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you again! Call us to confirm details before your next stay
