Welcome to Anchored In, where the glory of outdoor living is matched by the quality of your interior space. Access the nicest part of Kure Beach from your own private boardwalk. Multiple wrap-around decks and show-stopping views of the gorgeous Kure Beach Oceanfront from every window will deliver you a dream vacation directly focused on the beach. Step inside to find an open area ideal for family time, with an ocean-facing dining room suite and great room. Create meals to remember in a spacious and fully equipped kitchen stocked with all upgraded appliances and a stunning granite-topped center island. Situated toward the front of the house, a sitting area peeks into the kitchen from the deli window, a room perfect for reading or morning coffee! Your master bedroom suite awaits just off the kitchen where you can retreat in luxury. Don't worry about a rainy day; family movies are a breeze with the smart-enabled TV, Bose speakers, and DVD player. The kids can walk easily just half a mile to the Kure Beach Pier for some shopping and entertainment if they need a diversion.

Ground Level:
Five parking spaces are available, parking on the grass is not allowed. Covered parking for one in the left side garage, extra storage, full-size washer and dryer. Although it is not listed as an amenity, there is a vintage park grill that guests are free to use, and clean at your own recognizance.

Smart TVs are provided in All bedrooms, including the First Level Suite. You can find a DVD player in both the living room and the First Level Suite.

Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and laying on the end of the beds.

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Off Season Check-ins begin at 3 pm and are guaranteed by 5 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re-rented. If premises are re-rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak-covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. "The location of this house could not be better with a private boardwalk right to the beach. The house was exactly as described with comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, great deck furniture. Bring your own paper products, toiletries/soap/detergent and beach towels/chairs then enjoy the view.

"This house was beautiful, immaculate and spacious. The beach is gorgeous and our family had a wonderful time. We absolutely loved the area and this home was so nice with tons of space to play. The wrap around porch was so beautiful and a nice space to play. As advertised they don't have any toiletry amenities, so I was glad that was specified clearly so we knew to buy our own. It was easy to find and to access on our own. We loved the space and would definitely return.

"Anchored In was a great oceanfront beach house for our family vacation. Lots of room, fantastic deck for relaxing, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. Our only issue during the week was WiFi- related. The WiFi wasn’t working initially, but after contacting property management, it was resolved within 24 hours. We would rent this home again!

"We loved the house, lots of room for everyone, loved the porch, so relaxing. Would rent it again for sure!! The only negative think was placing maintenance calls. Communication was poor and we could not understand each other. The dish washer dis not work very well and a part had to be ordered. Also the flies near the garage cans was really bad. We would bring some kind of spray next time

Perfect for a family reunion

"Beautiful, well-appointed property set up to host an extended family. We spent our time walking, playing and lounging on the quiet beach in front of the house, taking short walks to the Kure Beach proper, enjoying activities and restaurants in nearby Carolina Beach, and relaxing in a comfy chair on the large, shaded porches at the house. The kitchen is well-appointed, has plenty of dishes and everything you need to cook for a crew. We did have issues with a broken dishwasher and downstairs refrigerator, so we had to hand wash lots of dishes and shop for smaller batches than planned. Also recommend that you bring extra bath towels as the one issued per person is not sufficient. Despite these challenges, the house is perfect for an extended family gathering and we had a wonderful time! Be sure to get up early for gorgeous sunrise views or end your day watching Kure Beach pier or Carolina Beach fireworks - all from the convenience of your porch!!

"Our week was perfect. House was beautiful and clean. I fell asleep every night listening to waves crash. The beach in front of house was sandy (not rocky) and quiet. We spent all day, every day on beach. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook great meals. Beds and bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. We had a fabulous time. Thank you. We will absolutely come back!

"The house is spacious for the 9 of us. We loved waking to the sounds of the ocean each day. The outdoor porches are delightful with comfortable seating. The children enjoyed hunting lizards around the outdoor space. Great to have an outdoor shower! The beach is convenient, easy to run back to the house to grab something. Weather was exceptional this week.

"Just returned from a spectacular vacation stay at Kure Dunes in Kure Beach, NC. What a great choice it was, this property was everything and more. First, this is a pristine beach house with private access to the beach. There is nothing better than opening the door and within steps; we were lying on the beach. We were on the beach morning, noon and night. We were close enough to the boardwalk and festivities of Carolina Beach, yet far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. The house was very spacious, clean, and newly furnished and decorated. We enjoyed cooking in as well, in a more than adequately equipped kitchen. Just loved the spaciousness, and open layout, which was great for family game nights, as well as quiet areas to read, etc. The kids had their space, and we had our space. The wrap around deck is another lovely feature that allows you to take in the ocean view. This was our first visit to Kure Beach, and the location has so much to offer. The history of Ft Fisher and the pier are just a 10 minute walk on the beach, with a great souvenir shop, small arcade with pool tables and games that were a nice getaway for our teenagers. Kure Beach Diner is right there and a perfect breakfast spot. We visited the aquarium right down the road, which was just beautiful. Carolina Beach is just north, with its boardwalk, rides, shops and famous Britts Donuts (mouthwatering and worth the wait). The highlight of our trip was the ferry ride over to Southport, from Ft Fisher Ferry minutes away. We had a great lunch at Olivers, right on Cape Fear River, food was delicious and service was the best. Rest of the day was spent shopping, checking out antique shops, and buying souvenirs too. It was a great day trip without the exhaustion of planning or reservations. We also took an early evening ride into Wilmington and visited the downtown Riverwalk, viewed the SS North Carolina docked across the walk, and again small shops to visit. We are definitely booking this property for next summer, bringing more friends, and looking forward to enjoying the fireworks on our private beach on a blanket, gazing at stars, and sipping my morning coffee as I stroll in the ocean at low tide in the morning sun. It doesnt get any better than this.

"We enjoyed our week at Kure. The house was great. The kitchen was well equipped with anything we needed. The large kitchen table that would allow all 9 of us to eat together (with some closeness) was wonderful. The beds were comfortable. The rented linens worked out great. The porch with adirondacks and rocking chairs was perfect to wait out the occasional rain shower. My only criticism, and it is small, is the lack of cable tv. What was provided was a very basic package with minimal channels; I didnt count but probably less than 10. The renter is given the option to pay $22 for an upgraded package. I think that for the cost of renting a property for the week, a usable cable package should be included. That being said, I didnt go to the beach to watch television so it wasnt a concern for me. But is was for those who wanted to see a sporting event other than what espn was showing; watch a program other than TNTs offering; or had no interest in the food network. We would certainly consider renting this property again. And the turtle nest right in front of the house was very neat, wish they would have hatched while we were there.

Regarding your comment to improve the TV coverage we have contacted Spectrum and now offer the Gold package, which provides the broadest set of channels (457), including Disney, ESPN, HBO, Starz, Children channels, etc. We appreciate your feedback and hope you get a chance to rent this place again. The turtle nest did hatch with all the baby turtles scampering to the ocean; we heard it was an amazing sight to see. Thanks again.
