With an unheard of 5 private Bedroom Suites, each with its own ensuite bath, you will have all the privacy you crave for comfortable sleep, and be literally located inside the beach access parking lot. Not only can you spread everyone out to sleep, but your adult children can arrive in their own car, with more free parking than any other beach house! You can even curl two more kids up on the sleeper sofa! Don't pay for all the bells and whistles and high fashion, just come to enjoy the beach and get comfy in our house that feels just right! The beach is 70 steps away and can be seen from the deck so there are no roads to cross or distances to carry chairs, umbrellas, and surfboards. You will make Family Fun memories for years to come at Windward.

Parking:
Under House. Up to six cars, size dependent. No passes are necessary.

Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and laying on the end of the beds.

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Off Season Check-ins begin at 3 pm and are guaranteed by 5 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Guest Access:
Electronic Entry.

House Rules:
No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
No smoking
You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Pet Policy:
No pets allowed.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re-rented. If premises are re-rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak-covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. "The location was perfect and wonderful easy walk to the beach. House is major need of some upgrades and some minor repairs such as fans and window blinds. Took a couple days to have AC repaired but were quick trying get it fixed. Needed a part. Lots of hot water for a group of 12. Very nice to be steps from the ocean and to see and hear it from the balcony. Kids loved playing games out on the deck. Spent off beach hours there.

"This place was so much better than some of the condos and hotels you can rent. It’s a whole two story house with 5 bedrooms. Great for multiple families. The best part is it is directly on a beach access. Even though it is on a beach access there is only parking for the 6 houses on the property. So not like it’s covered in public parking. Definitely a place to stay. Close to both Kure and Carolina Beach.

"This was the perfect place for a family vacation. With 11 people, 6 adults and 5 children, it was very spacious and accommodating, with lots storage. This was a perfect location, convenient to the boardwalk and local shops, within walking distance. Very nice place for a large family or group. I highly recommend this place and would definitely return with family and/or friends

"This was a great place to stay on the beach! The location was great and quiet, great views of the ocean and it was a nice little stroll to the beach from the house! The sleeping arrangements were spot on for a large family and loved that each room had their own bathroom! The only complaint we had was the kitchen wasn’t stocked with and salt, pepper or spices. The baking pans were a little slim (but this could be due to the Covid-19 and not leaving things other guests had) the only other thing was the water in all but 2 bathrooms had an awful odor. Not sure what caused that so we only used 2 showers out of 5 the whole time we were there due to the smell. I LOVED that the owners had coffee cups made for the guest to take home. I took mine home and every time I use it I wish I was sitting out on the deck listening to the waves! We will definitely stay here again! Hopefully in the near future! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

"It is a great location. My family and friends love the house and the location. It was clean and the rooms are big too. The kitchen has almost everything you need, it was a little disorganized but I did manage to find things. We had so much fun the town has so much to do. When I booked this house for our vacation, I did not have any idea about the area. We vacationed in TopSail-NC before and I particularly did not like it. Nothing a lot to do over there. But Carolina Beach exceeds all my expectations. Thank you so much definately recommended the location and the House.

"4 STAR REVIEW- Clean, spacious family beach home. Windward was fabulous for the 10 of us (5 children and 5 adults) at our recent Carolina Beach stay. It was very clean and large enough for everyone to feel like they had their own space. The management company was great about letting us check in early and check out late (especially since we had a loooong drive from and back to Massachusetts!). They company was also receptive to feedback regarding some exposed screws on the deck. Loved that there were chairs, boogie boards and a grill to use while we were there. About a mile from the boardwalk, which felt long on some days, but it was great to get some walking in. The beach access was excellent and the 2 piers were great distances away to be able to walk to and get in more exercise. Loved the nearby lake also! Great for bike riding with the kids! We would definitely stay here again. For the price, the size of this house (5 bdroms & 6 bathrooms!) was amazing!!

"This property was perfect for our family. Great for children downstairs. Lol! I have never stayed in a rental property that had everything you need in the kitchen. "We have been bringing our family to the Windward for at least 13 years and have booked ahead for 2016. It feels like home to the 13 of us and our grandchildren look forward each year to the next stay. Anytime we have a concern, Sea Coast is there to take care of it. Wonderful vacation cottage with easy access to the beach and beautiful view of the ocean!!!!There are also wonderful local restaurants five minutes from the cottage.
