Sandstep is a small, oceanfront townhouse community with pool. Our large family home has been a traveler favorite for many years with beach access right across the street! Multiple decks afford Marina and Ocean Views throughout. The price represents a true bargain for such a large beach house rental! Focus on family with a big play day on the beach. Then, unwind from your fun-filled day in the bright, open upstairs great room with generous seating for the whole family. Eating together is a joy with a large dining table seating 11, fully equipped modern kitchen and even a wine fridge! While your beach vacation will spotlight togetherness at the core of Sandstep 619-2, you will be able to spread out in comfort and privacy for sleep with two King Primary Suites and four comfy bedrooms.

You’ll be sure to flourish at the small and exclusive Sandstep Retreat community, where you can enjoy the shared community oceanfront pool, stroll to the beach right across the street, and fall in love with the casual island charm of Carolina Beach.

Parking: Parking for up to 5 vehicles in the assigned bay, size dependent.

Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and laying on the end of the beds.

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Off Season Check-ins begin at 3 pm and are guaranteed by 5 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Guest Access:
Hard key.

House Rules:
No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
No smoking
You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Pool Notice:
Pools are generally open from Memorial Day until Labor Day; however, pool closures may be dictated by the HOA or the Health Department. Pools may also be closed after a hurricane or tropical storm. Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable. No refunds will be issued for these closures.

Elevator Policies:
Please note, the elevator is for convenience only and does not guarantee ADA Compliance or Wheelchair accessibility. Although elevators are checked on a regular basis, Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable if the elevator is not operating or functioning properly during your stay. No refunds will be issued for these closures.

Pet Policy:
No pets allowed.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re-rented. If premises are re-rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak-covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. "Our family of 14 had a wonderful week at Sandstep 619-2. The house is steps from the beach and pool. There was plenty of room. The kids could easily walk to the boardwalk. We played games at the large kitchen table in the evenings. We soon learned the elevator works only if all three doors are closed on each floor. Management was very responsive and kind. We all enjoyed our week and made lasting family memories!

"The condo was as described. We enjoyed our stay. We did have a few issues with the A/C, but the host was responsive and resolved them immediately. This was my seventh year using high end rentals for work or pleasure and the property was up to par with other premium stays. View was premium waterfront a road back! Had a great layout for guests and was a great value. Thanks again!

"We stayed at 619-2 on Carolina beach for a week. A beautiful home just steps away from the sand. I would stay with this company again in the future. We had an elevator in the house and it came in handy especially for groceries and luggage. I really liked how they provided the sheets for the rooms: The bedding for mattresses were wrapped so that you can make your own bed with unopened/unused sheets. Everything was clean. I think some things could have been updated, such as the tv in mine and my sons room.. it looked like something from 1985 lol. It also didn’t work. Didn’t bother me per-say, as we were mostly outside. However, when paying to stay somewhere for a week in 2023 a lot of people would expect flat screens and working technology. The tv in the living room worked unless you turned it off - then something with the cable box wouldn’t reset/turn back on. So we just kept it on mute until we wanted to watch something. The kitchen was my favorite part. I’m a sucker for an all white kitchen. Wish I had that island at my house! Massive! Had family dinners on it almost every night of our stay. All the bedrooms were very spacious and the beds themselves were comfortable. I think next time I will rent a house where each bedroom has its own bathroom, though. The keyless touchpad entry to our house was nice as we didn’t need to keep up with hard keys the whole time. It does have a shared pool with other rental homes, but honestly that was a plus to our stay as my son loved being around other kids his age. All in all the house was perfect for our large family and we all had a great weeks stay with Sea Coast Rentals! Thank you for a memorable trip.

"This is a lovely rental for a large family. Plenty of room, seating, and beds. Proximity to ocean is perfect and it is an easy walk to boardwalk and many restaurants/shops. Rental company was very responsive to our needs and easy to contact. We did enjoy our stay and would stay again.

"Great location close to the beach and a short walk to the boardwalk. The space is great for a large group, plenty of room for everyone in the common area and very nice sized bedrooms. Some furniture could use an update, and I would recommend cleaning the rugs or getting rid of them. All in all a great place to stay, great views of the ocean!

"So much room, kitchen was beautiful and fully stocked, beds were comfortable and so close to the pool and very short walk to the beach! Also short walk to restaurants, ice trailer, boardwalk and shopping in general. 8 min car ride to the grocery store was awesome! Parking for all 6 cars. Our giant family has been going to the beach for years and everyone loved this house! The only thing missing is a ceiling fan on the top deck. Thank you so much to the owners for sharing such an ideal property!

"4 star review - Really loved the layout and family gathering areas. Very convenient location with beach access. The pool area was nice and not crowded. The carpet was old and the rugs I. The living area need replacing. A few of our sheets were clean but stained. The refrigerator needed a deeper cleaning when we arrived. The management was apologetic and said they would address the issue

"This is a great property for a large group! Very rare find with the view second row. The property itself is great with a few small flaws (blinds offer very little darkening which is hard with littles at nap time; shower heads were basically a trickle which is also bad for those with long thick hair). Overall a great property though. We loved our stay.

"Condo was in a great location, had an awesome view for 2nd row and had all the necessary items we needed for our stay. Carpet was in desperate need of replacing but all other furnishings were in great shape. It would have been nice to know what baby items were provided so our family members wouldn't have had to bring. E.G. baby gate, stroller, high chair, etc. Maybe a listing of items in the kitchen along with baby/kid items would be helpful. Would definitely stay in this unit again.

"Beautifully kept property. We will be staying here again if we return to the area. The staff at the check in office were very helpful and friendly as well. Everything went smoothly. The only annoyance was the person staying at the lower floor of the building next to the pool was harassing us. "Her friend" owns the property and was told that no one else would be using the pool. She argued with us that the pool was a Sand Step community pool, and was very unpleasant. Quite a black mark on the trip as it upset both the parents and the kids in our group.

"This is our second visit to this property. We thought we were getting the property across the street directly on the ocean, but when we got there we were bumped to the same one. It was very much okay though. We loved the space - it is so roomy, lots of windows and balconies! And those Britt doughnuts - wow! Tried one hot with a scoop of ice cream and chocolate sauce. We will be back!

"We had a fantastic time at this house! This house was perfect for our vacation! The house was great and the elevator was a god sent. It was very helpful for arrival and departure as well as trip to the store. The place was very clean and nicely furnished. There were 14 of us and there was enough space that we never felt crowded. The dining area was large enough to allow us to enough our meals together. There are great views of the ocean and canal from the top floor. the family looks forward to returning.
