Neighborhood

Adventure awaits on Pleasure Island. Exploring the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, home to incredible coastal wildlife, or take the scenic car ferry across the Cape Fear River for a relaxing visit to the charming town of Southport where quaint streets are filled with unique antique shops and galleries. History lovers can walk the scenic, live‑oak‑lined trails of the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, where Civil War bunkers still stand. Nature enthusiasts will love the island’s two state‑managed coastal preserves: Carolina Beach State Park, home to rare Venus flytraps found naturally only in this region, and the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, known for pristine beaches, marshes, and wildlife viewing. Both offer beautiful opportunities for hiking, paddling, fishing, and spotting pelicans or even nesting loggerhead sea turtles.

After a day outdoors, unwind on your private balcony with a sunset cocktail, or head into town to explore the best of Carolina Beach. The Carolina Beach Boardwalk, ranked one of the Top 10 Boardwalks in the U.S. by Food & Wine, features classic seaside fun—local restaurants, an arcade, ice cream shops, bars, and the famous Britt’s Donuts. In summer, enjoy weekly fireworks and live entertainment, carnival rides, family nights, and Flamingo BINGO. Off‑season brings signature island events like the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival. Pleasure Island offers something unforgettable for every traveler—adventure, relaxation, and the perfect coastal escape.

Other Things To Note

You must be at least 25 years of age to book this property.

Getting Around

Getting around Pleasure Island is a breeze! While parking can be limited in peak season, especially in popular spots, paid private or public parking is available. We recommend exploring Carolina Beach and Kure Beach on foot or by bike – they're super walkable and bike-friendly. You'll find safe pedestrian and bike routes, including the Island Greenway. Renting a golf cart or bike is easy, too, with several local rental companies. Golf carts are one of the easiest ways to cruise around the island. Rentals are simple to arrange, and once you're behind the wheel, you can zip along any road posted 35 mph or under.

Great company

Review Date: June 5, 2026

Vacation Date: May 21, 2026

"I would highly recommend Seacoast. They kept their linen separated in a bag so that way you know that they are clean. The little touches like that really make it valuable to stay with this company. I will stay with them every time I come to town and going forward.

"This is my favorite place to stay at Kure. It sits right on the beach and has two different balconies where you can sip your morning coffee while watching the waves roll in. It is within walking distance of the historic Fort Fisher, the Aquarium, and the new museum. If you want to spend a day on the beach this place is perfect, as it never has a packed beach, with only a few groups of families spread out for lots of room on the sand. The kitchen is fully stocked making it a breeze to prepare a simple dinner or a gourmet meal. Three bathrooms are a plus. The bedrooms are decorated beautifully and the beds sleep very well. I love coming here as it's so easy to get to the shoreline or you can enjoy the tide from the fabulous views in the living room and master bedroom. Very clean with a beachy vibe that makes you feel cozy.

2023 family vacation

"The location of this property is fantastic!! Such a wonderful view and right on the beach. The walk from the condo to the beach was super short which made beach going with 3 small kids easy. The property itself was nicely furnished and clean. The layout worked well for our family and the dining table was large enough to accommodate all 7 of us. Would definitely recommend this property!

"We stayed for spring break and although the weather was cold then hot (literal extremes), we had a blast! The condo was clean and location to the beach and indoor pool/clubhouse was great! We would definitely recommend this location for those with children. Check in and check out was a breeze as well (not having to visit the office was definitely a plus)! We hope to be able to book again in the future! Thank you for having us!
