Things To Do on Topsail Island
Topsail Island is a hidden gem along the NC coast, known for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and charming coastal towns like Surf City. From sunbathing and swimming to fishing and surfing, there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy on this beautiful island. Explore the local shops and restaurants, take a fishing cruise out with an area fishing guide, or simply relax on the beach and soak up the sun. With so much to see and do on Topsail Island, your vacation will be filled with unforgettable memories and moments of pure relaxation. Topsail Island is a 28-mile-long barrier island made up of marshes, estuaries, dunes, and shorelines. Sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, “Tops’l” as the locals call it, is home to several fishing piers including the Seaview Fishing Pier. 875 feet of planks were used to construct this pier, which is the longest pier on the North Carolina coast. Privately owned shops, restaurants and attractions abound on Topsail, as well as the neighboring mainland towns. Learn the history of Topsail at the Missiles and More Museum and understand how to be a good steward of the sea at the Touch Tank Aquarium in Surf City and the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center for laid back and family friendly things to do on Topsail. Each of these attractions offers its own unique charm and adds to the allure of a vacation on Topsail Island.

Private house & beautiful

Review Date: December 18, 2025

Vacation Date: July 4, 2025

"Kokomo was very private house , on a beautiful, walking beach. The house had panoramic views with a very high deck on stilts where the water flowed under during high tide. Access to the house you drive down a short sandy road which we didn't have any trouble. We had 6 people who slept comfortably and enjoyed our stay on the beach.

Beautiful & peaceful

Review Date: December 18, 2025

Vacation Date: December 6, 2025

"Kokomo is in a beautiful, peaceful location, and we really enjoyed how quiet the area was. The family room was spacious and comfortable, and the master bedroom and bathroom were beautifully remodeled—definitely a highlight of the home. The kitchen was quite small for the number of people the property can accommodate. There was no cupboard space, and the microwave was old, small, and took a long time to heat food—especially tricky when warming up holiday leftovers. In the mornings, there were no curtains or blinds on the front windows. The sunlight came in very strongly, and it was difficult to find a comfortable spot to sit without being in the bright morning sun. However, once the sun passed out of direct view, the unobstructed windows made for an amazing view!
