Welcome to Pelican Watch 1004! Make yourself at home in our affordable, cozy condo with all the standard features to keep you comfy while you are enjoying the beach. Updated bedrooms and bathrooms will keep you in style and have you coming back to this vacation home year after year.

The Oceanfront Pelican Watch community is a next-door stroll to the locally loved Ocean Grill and Tiki Bar. Get your exercise in the indoor community pool, or at the outdoor pool in Summer. Our boardwalk to the beach is shared only with other community guests. The building is served by an elevator. Downstairs, there is an indoor pool and spa. Another pool lies outside along with a grilling and picnic area perfect for outdoor entertaining. The guest parking lot is across the street, but you may temporarily stop your vehicle near the elevator lobby to unload your vehicle and drop off guests. Around-the-clock security helps residents, visitors, and their guests feel safe at all times. Pelican Watch offers residents an easy walk, jog, bike, or drive to either beach pier, as it is midway between the Carolina Beach Boardwalk and the Kure Beach Pier. Pelican Watch is an outstanding community whose level of amenities and features makes it one of the best in the condo complexes in the area.

Ground Level:
Eleven Story condo complex, Elevator, Outdoor Stairwells at each end of the building, free dedicated parking lot with overflow lot, lobby, indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, outdoor pool, party sun deck, beach boardwalk. Two Charcoal Grills in the yard area.

Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and laying on the end of the beds.

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Off Season Check-ins begin at 3 pm and are guaranteed by 5 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Guest Access:
Hard key.

House Rules:
No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
No smoking
You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Elevator Policies:
Please note, the elevator is for convenience only and does not guarantee ADA Compliance or Wheelchair accessibility. Although elevators are checked on a regular basis, Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable if the elevator is not operating or functioning properly during your stay. No refunds will be issued for these closures.

Pool Notice:
Pools are generally open from Memorial Day until Labor Day; however, pool closures may be dictated by the HOA or the Health Department. Pools may also be closed after a hurricane or tropical storm. Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable. No refunds will be issued for these closures.

Pet Policy:
No pets allowed.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re-rented. If premises are re-rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak-covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!

"10th floor makes a momma nervous with kiddos, but whew what a view!!!! Spacious area and quiet area. Close to boardwalk and Fort Fisher, stocked kitchen. Loved having washer and dryer, makes all the difference; large closets and area to put things. Kitchen table fit us all which is hard to find among places. Told owner about an issue with our sink and someone was out to check and fix it within 20 minutes! Fast service, would have preferred a keyless entry, overall this was a nice place to stay with my family.

"Loved the location and the easy access to the beach and pools. Sea Coast Rentals was awesome. I usually like working with owners instead of rental agencies due to bad experiences, but they accommodated every request and even brought us donuts on the last day! Place was clean and enough space for all of us!

Gorgeous views and relaxing environment

"We loved our stay at this property so much, we wished we had booked two weeks instead of one! We would definitely stay again, as the furnishings were comfortable and the layout was perfect for our family. We lucked out with perfect weather almost all week, but even if it had been rainy or overcast, being able to see the beach and hear the waves from the balcony or even inside the main bedroom and living room was just so enjoyable! Having an indoor and outdoor pool plus beach access was really great for our family. It was a beautiful place to stay and any questions we had were easily answered with a quick call or text to Sea Coast's office. We did have a couple of minor maintenance issues, but handling those was super easy and it felt like the staff really wanted to make things as smooth as possible for us. We are already considering a return trip around the same time next year and would definitely want to stay at this property again!

"I took my kids and grandkids here. Check in and out was easy! Floor plan was great! However, it wasn’t cleaned very well. Dishes in the cabinet had food in them. Floor was black when I wiped up anything. King size bed was amazingly comfortable! Balcony is wonderful! I did not like how the umbrella rental companies hogged the front row on the beach. They blocked the view of the water from others. You will need to be up by 6:30am to setup your beach spot before the rentals are set out.

"We enjoyed our stay at Pelican Watch! Our unit was 3 bed 2 bath. We had an issue with the shower in the master bath and after several phone calls and a visit to the realty company, our shower was fixed by Vincent from Suncoast Realty. He gets a million atta-boys from us for fixing our shower!!! Had it not been for Vincent, it would not have been fixed until the day we were leaving. The unit had everything we needed and the location was perfect with great views of ocean and beautiful sunrises!! Would stay again!!

"Our rental unit was beautiful. The kitchen was fully equipped. The Carolina beach area has all the restaurants one could wish for. We visited the aquarium, Fort Fischer and the zoo. The zoo was a great surprise - the animals were well cared for and the facility was clean and well kept. This was our second rental from Costal rentals. They are friendly and go out of their way to fill our needs!
