Welcome to Ocean Dunes 908! This unique corner/end unit townhome nestled in the quiet serenity of Fort Fisher will afford you and your family the vacation of your dreams. Our cozy home offers NEW beds for Summer 2024!

Welcome to the highly desirable Ocean Dunes resort! Our vacation rental is located on the oceanfront, giving you access to an expanse of stunning beachfront views at the southern tip of Pleasure Island. Enjoy the amenities of the resort, including multiple outdoor pools, tennis courts, shuffle board, grills, and playgrounds for the kids. After a day at the beach, visit the recreation center for an indoor pool, spa, sauna, exercise room and clubhouse. Relax, unwind, and make lasting memories at this beautiful destination!

Ground Level:
Assigned covered parking for one vehicle, second vehicle in lot, exterior stairs to property level.
Fitness Center across the street from the 2100 building.
This is a reminder that all three outdoor pools will be closed as of October 31. They are scheduled to re-open on April 1 2024.
The Rec Center pool is opened year-round with the exception of holidays or for any routine or emergency maintenance scheduled at the Rec Center.

Bedroom: 2 Twin beds, TV, Desk fan
Bathroom: Full, Shower/Tub Combo.

Parking 2 Assigned Spaces. Guest parking available on a first-come, first-serve basis

Rental Policies:

In response to increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4pm and are guaranteed by 6pm
Off Season Check-ins begin at 3pm and are guaranteed by 5pm
Check out is by 10 AM.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

*Hard Key entry. You will need to stop by the office to get your keys.

House Rules:
NO events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
NO Smoking
You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Pet Policy: No pets allowed with travelers. The Ocean Dunes Community has a strict policy that only condo owners are allowed to bring pets.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re rented. If premises are re rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

*This property has pest control scheduled for the second Tuesday-Thursday of every month. You do not need to be present, but access must be granted.*

Things to do:

Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!

Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Rent a Jeep, bicycle, or golf cart as the most convenient ways to navigate the island. Annual off- season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

Great location 08/11/2022

Great spot as far as walking distance to beach access and to the pool! Liked that it was a two story unit and don’t have to worry about going to top floor to go in or having others above us. Thought having to stop for a key would be aggravating but was easy and not out of the way. There was a small ant problem in the kid’s bedroom when we got there. After some checking I saw there was a pile of empty popsicle wrappers under the edge of the bed at the window that I assume had attracted them. Other than this the place was nice and as always we really enjoyed Kure Beach.

Unit was clean and we loved the location. If you are looking for the crowds this is not it. Very quiet and relaxing. Easy access to the beach. Loved riding our bikes and exploring. Short drive to the action. The only negatives were you cannot have a golf cart, no where to charge them. There were no cleaning supplies and make sure to bring extra washcloths and paper products. Overall I would rent this unit again.

The perfect place for us. Good communication every step of the way. Great views up and down the beach from the two balconies. Enjoyed watching the pelicans and other shore birds. Get up early to enjoy the sunrise.

The best Beach on the East coast!!!! The condo was amazing! I miss hearing the sound of waves before I fall a sleep! We are definitely coming back!

5 STAR RATING - Kure Beach is our favorite place to go. Ocean Dunes is the best! This rental was great. It was renovated and comfortable. The ice maker wasn't working but we bought ice instead of complaining. I would of liked a full size washer and dryer instead of the compact one, it was too small. Overall we loved this condo and would definitely return.

Great, peaceful location close to all the action Great condo close to both quiet expanses of empty beach and to the popular crowded areas. The view from the decks are second to none other in the area. Clean comfortable living space that has plenty of amenities and a short 2 minute walk across the dunes to the surf. You won't be disappointed.

Unit was clean and amenities wonderful. Would suggest no smoking on balconies. As a nonsmoker,I did not like smelling smoke every time I sat outside. Loved the daily updates for local events.

This lovely condo has expansive ocean views. It was in a quiet location and we never heard our neighbors. We were comfortable and the owners supplied everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.Thank you for a relaxing and enjoyable trip. We hope to be back!

Unit 908 has been a great unit for our family of four. It's close location to the outdoor pool and beach walkway are a plus. We found the unit to be clean upon arrival. I also noticed the air conditioning unit was recently replaced or upgraded. No problems there. We have stayed in this unit many years as it works great with our 2 boys. Only downside is the small kitchen with cabinets that are filled to capacity (Not much room for storage). We look forward to returning to this unit in the future!

Thank you for the feedback! We try to make sure that the kitchen has everything you would need for your stay, and unfortunately the cabinets can get disorganized over the busy summer months but we'll definitely work on getting the cabinets organized to free up some space for storage!
