Welcome to Casalona, one of the few remaining vintage, single level family homes directly on oceanfront at Carolina Beach. Sleep four couples in private corners of the house, each side sharing a Jack n Jill bathroom. With its no frills design, this cozy home offers a unique and comfortable beachside experience. Come take in the fresh ocean air and sounds of the waves while you relax on the large, furnished porch. Run up and down your own private walkway to the beach several times a day easily: you are so close! Enjoy the simple pleasures of a small seaside town in this charming beach cottage with restaurants and shops all within walking distance. This old-fashioned beach home is sure to make your vacation a memorable one; so be one of the families who comes back year after year to experience beach focused living and falling asleep to the sound of the waves at Casalona.

Ground Level:

Parking under the house. One level of stairs up to living level or beach boardwalk.

Level 1:

Great room living room with sofa, loveseat, TV, ocean front porch, dining table with seating for 6

Jack n Jill bathroom with walk-in shower

Rental Policies:

In response to increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4:00 pm and are guaranteed by 6:00 pm
Off Season Check-ins begin at 3:00 pm and are guaranteed by 5:00 pm
Check out is by 10:00 am
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early early or plan to delay your departure.

Hard Key entry.

House Rules:
No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
No smoking
You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Pet Policy: Pets Allowed 2 dogs -OR- two cats. Restrictions: 2 dogs of any kind OR 3 dogs under 15 lbs. allowed. Additional fees required for more than one dog.

Carolina and Kure Beaches are pet friendly, but you must follow town guidelines.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re rented. If premises are re rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!

Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Rent a Jeep, bicycle, or golf cart as the most convenient ways to navigate the island. Amazing Sunrises in the Morning 11/22/2022

The best thing about Casalona is the location. A well-maintained walkway directly to the beach with amazing sunrises in the morning. Walking distance to downtown CB and restaurants. I never used a rentals company through VRBO before, but the experience was great. Great communication and a seamless process to check-in and check-out. The property can use some updating inside and out, some things are dated and worn, but good experience all around.

Perfect location with a small 3 minute drive into town. Private boardwalk directly to the beach. We loved the rocking chairs lining the porch. Spacious enough for me, 5 teenagers and a medium sized dog. One of the only beach houses that we have rented that still had plenty of hot water for the 6th person showering! Just a cute vintage beachfront house.

Having our own private beach access was superb. The house was located close enough to walk to most places. While it could use some minor updating the layout, deck, and parking were perfect. I would rent this place again.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Casalona. It was very convenient to restaurants and only a short drive to the boardwalk. It was the perfect place to take my dog. He enjoyed his first visit on the beach. Only thing that would have made it perfectly would be to add a nonstick skillet for breakfast and a baking pan for biscuits, if you chose to cook breakfast there.

The porch was good size. Only issue was the leaking air conditioner overhead on the back porch. Because it made the porch wet the whole time. Great views and walk to the beach. Nice kitchen and family space.

The views from this property are breathtaking, which was my priority since I wanted OC only. The home was very nice and well maintained for its age and being in the elements of Ocean air. One question, where are the washer and dryer in the home? lol Your management Company are very professional and a pleasure to work with during the rental process. Thank you.

The deck and its view and close proximity to the beach was wonderful. The house was very functional, however overall it was dated (furnishings, appliances, etc) and in need of a bit of a facelift. Still, we very much enjoyed our stay.

The home was clean and neat when we arrived. We completed reservation, payment, etc online. Therefore, cannot comment on the reservations staff. However, it was VERY nice and helpful to receive text and email reminders. Especially the day we were to arrive and the notice the home was ready early. (We were sad to get the checkout ones though.)

The location of the house is great, the staff are really helpful, and the layout of the house made for a wonderful vacation for my family. We enjoyed the view of the ocean and the easy access to the ocean. With house in good walking distance to a restaurants and stores, we could have just parked and walked. There are a lot of places to rent in Carolina Beach and many companies to rent from. The Sea Coast Rentals staff is so good that I am only going to be contacting them in the future. I don't want to risk being disappointed with something as important as my family vacation. They are really that helpful.

Loved the cottage. The family was so happy and everything was close in proximity. A Goodness Grows market across the street! Perfect. The fireworks on the beach incredible. The cottage was clean all the necessities were available. I would suggest that the growth between the cottage and the beach cut down. The vines are Briars and are hanging over the deck. Thanks for a pleasurable week at the beach.

Overall, the house is nice and very convenient, but some areas of the house could use some better upkeep (e.g., water stains on the ceiling). We enjoy the ocean-front porch and were glad to see the new boardwalk to the beach. We hope the owneres would consider adding wifi.

Casalona was a great place for our family vacation. The Boardwalk is walking distance and we did several times. The floor plan flows well and the rocking chairs on the deck were very nice.
