Welcome to Salty Hammocks B1 Serenity Now! Salty Hammocks is a small oceanfront community with pool. We are an island view condo in the B building. Enjoy a Mai Tai on the tropical-themed living room deck or enjoy meals at home in your fully equipped kitchen. If you'd rather eat out, you are only a .3 mile stroll down the beach from Ocean Grill and Tiki Bar. You will feel right at home among our traditional, comfortable furnishings and decor. Enjoy sea breezes and palm trees from either of the two decks. Take a dip in our community pool, or visit the many shops and restaurants nearby. You'll be sure to live a little better than most at Salty Hammocks!

Property Level:
This is a first-floor condo.
Pergo laminate floors throughout.
Primary Bedroom Suite: TV, queen bed, large closet, chest of drawers, ceiling fan, sliding door access to private balcony.
Ensuite Bathroom: Dual access to the hallway, vanity, bathtub with shower.
Kitchen: full kitchen, access to the front patio.
Dining Area: Traditional dining table with seating for 4
Living Room: Queen size sleeper sofa with New Memory Foam Queen Mattress, 1 recliner, 1 soft side chair and ottoman, TV
Patio: access from the living room, 2 patio chairs, 1 bar with 2 stools.

Parking: 2 Dedicated parking spots below the unit

Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and laying on the end of the beds.

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Guest Access:
Electronic Entry.

House Rules:
No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
No smoking
You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Pool Notice:
Pools are generally open from Memorial Day until Labor Day; however, pool closures may be dictated by the HOA or the Health Department. Pools may also be closed after a hurricane or tropical storm. Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable. No refunds will be issued for these closures.

Pet Policy:
No Pets Allowed.

We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.

Things to do:
Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak-covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!
Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, an arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Annual off-season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

Getting Around

Getting around Pleasure Island is a breeze! While parking can be limited in peak season, especially in popular spots, paid private or public parking is available. We recommend exploring Carolina Beach and Kure Beach on foot or by bike – they're super walkable and bike-friendly. You'll find safe pedestrian and bike routes, including the Island Greenway. Renting a golf cart or bike is easy, too, with several local rental companies. Golf carts are one of the easiest ways to cruise around the island. Rentals are simple to arrange, and once you're behind the wheel, you can zip along any road posted 35 mph or under.

"we were there for a girl's trip (3 of us) and it was perfect. Everything was either walking distance or we drive 5 mins down the road. the pool was awesome, you literally walked straight out to the beach, and parking was great. we were all very pleased and had an awesome time there!!!!

"My partner and I stayed here for a week and enjoyed our time. Place was as described, staff was extremely responsive, and right on the beach. Only complaints: bedroom stayed fairly warm and if someone is staying in the unit above (we had someone above for the first few days) it is very, very loud. Thanks for the great stay! Definitely recommend. Would've been better if we hadn't of chosen to go during a tropical storm :'-)

"I was able to rise early and jog on the beach with my dog, reaching Flagler beach or Fisher Point with an easy run before the family woke up. The state park offers plenty of hiking & biking opportunities to. The apartment had everything we needed and was decorated very nice. We really enjoyed the porches and the immediate access to the beach. The pool is clean with beautiful night lites. Definitely a nice time.

"Our vacation at Salty Hammock and Carolina beach was incredible! We didn't really know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised as the condo was perfect for two people. There's easy access to the beach and we had a blast throwing the ball to our Golden in the early morning and late afternoon when dogs are allowed on the beach. Definitely one of the best vacations we've ever had.

"We only had a few days in Carolina and this turned out to be the perfect last minute rental. Wonderful location, convenient to everything. It is very clean and has lots of outside deck space. Parking is conveniently underneath. It’s not oceanfront, but the pool and the ocean are literally steps away just around the corner.

"Loved our weekend in Carolina Beach. This place has great beach access with umbrella and chair rentals if needed. Took a 7 minute walk on the beach to the Ocean Grille and Tiki Bar. Unit was clean, check-in and out was very easy and it had a nice balcony. Definitely recommend staying here.
