Hear the seagulls every morning while you are fixing your coffee. Walk out to our wraparound water view porch and enjoy the large, anchored sailboats and slow boat traffic just beyond your dock. Our peaceful home is a boater's dream. Bring your boat for a beach vacation experience you will never forget! With easy access to the Intracoastal Waterway, you can tie your boat up on the tip of the Carolina Beach Canal and be ready to launch at dawn for some of the best fishing or waterplay that North Carolina Beaches have to offer. Our waterfront home is only a short walk to the beach for those in your crowd who would rather spend a day with the sand and waves, only two blocks away. At the end of the day, you are in the premier location to see the prettiest sunset views our island has to offer!

Ground Level:
No parking restrictions! Large yard with room for boat trailers and no HOA restrictions.
Boardwalk with bench seating. Exterior cameras are focused on the driveway and at the docks to monitor the bait pens.

Floating Dock:
2 full-sized boat slips + an additional 3rd shallow water slip (grass side of the dock) for kayaks. Fresh Water hose wash-down. There is no shore power on the dock.
Slip 1: Your rent covers one boat dock on the outside edge of the dock: One side tie-up: Oversized floating dock that can easily accommodate larger center consoles with no beam restrictions. Dock fenders, 4 cleats, two pilings. Approximately 6 feet in depth.
Slip 2: Inside slip with one side tie-up. 10' beam, 6' depth. 5 cleats.
Slip 3: Suitable for 2-3 dinghies or kayaks, approximately 3' depth. 3 cleats are available for visiting dinghies.
Two other slips are reserved for Owner Use Only, including a private boat and tournament fishing bait pens. The owner's fishing team will access the dock briefly and intermittently, typically 2–3 times a week for tournament preparations. This will be respectful of your space and kept to a minimum.

The following ground-level areas are subject to flooding during tidal events. Care should be taken with valuables.

Two Stairwells to property level; We are a two-story home on pilings.

Level 2:
Living Room: Sofa/loveseat, wicker occasional tables, decorative fireplace, cathedral ceiling with ceiling fan, wall-mounted TV, Wifi.
Florida Room: Queen-size sofa sleeper. Window AC unit, ceiling fan, all-weather rattan seating for 5, upholstered sofa, occasional tables, Slider doors to wrap around porch.
Kitchen/Dining: Dining Table seats 4, Counter seating for 4 with 4 extra stools, stainless steel appliances: dishwasher, side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, microwave, electric range, fully equipped kitchen for making meals at home, 2 ceiling fans. Slider doors to the wraparound porch. Solid surface counters and a double sink. Pull spray faucet.
Pantry/Laundry room: shelving, Washer and dryer, small appliance storage.
Porch: 180-degree water view, sun deck, lounge chairs, Adirondack-style pub chairs for 6. Gas grill.

Shared hallway bathroom: bathtub and shower, toilet, single vanity.
Primary Bedroom Suite: Huge bedroom with soft side chairs, a double-wide closet for hanging clothing. 4 poster King bed, dresser, chest, ceiling fan, TV.
Guest Bedroom 1: King bed, closet, dresser, chest, ceiling fan, armoire, wall-mounted TV.

Level 3, Loft:
Guest Bedroom 2 Queen bed, dresser, wall-mounted TV, water view from shoulder height skylight. *does not have a closet.

During tidal events, it may be necessary to approach the house by car on Carolina Beach Ave N to Virginia Avenue. Vehicles should be left at the top of the driveway during tidal events.

Golf Cart charging is available.

Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and lying at the end of the beds.

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy, so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

House Rules:
No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
No smoking
You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.

Pet Policy:
Dogs Allowed - 2 dogs allowed, large dogs are ok. The first dog is included in the price of the Rental. Subsequent dogs are subject to an additional payment and restrictions! Carolina and Kure Beaches are pet-friendly, but you must follow town guidelines. Please check the town website for beach pet restrictions.

Cancellation Policy:
We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.

Adventure awaits on Pleasure Island. Exploring the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, home to incredible coastal wildlife, or take the scenic car ferry across the Cape Fear River for a relaxing visit to the charming town of Southport where quaint streets are filled with unique antique shops and galleries. History lovers can walk the scenic, live‑oak‑lined trails of the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, where Civil War bunkers still stand. Nature enthusiasts will love the island’s two state‑managed coastal preserves: Carolina Beach State Park, home to rare Venus flytraps found naturally only in this region, and the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, known for pristine beaches, marshes, and wildlife viewing. Both offer beautiful opportunities for hiking, paddling, fishing, and spotting pelicans or even nesting loggerhead sea turtles.

Getting Around

Getting around Pleasure Island is a breeze! While parking can be limited in peak season, especially in popular spots, paid private or public parking is available. We recommend exploring Carolina Beach and Kure Beach on foot or by bike – they're super walkable and bike-friendly. You'll find safe pedestrian and bike routes, including the Island Greenway. Renting a golf cart or bike is easy, too, with several local rental companies. Golf carts are one of the easiest ways to cruise around the island. Rentals are simple to arrange, and once you're behind the wheel, you can zip along any road posted 35 mph or under.

Beautiful beach house

"Couldn't have asked for a better beach house. The back porch had such a relaxing view of the intercoastal with beautiful sunsets. The beach was a quick 5 minute walk. The house itself was stocked with everything you could need including kitchen gadgets, coozies, tupperware, books and board games. The dock access was also awesome to have for the boat, paddle boarding and fishing off the dock. The neighborhood was very quite which made for a very peaceful vacation. All the beds were also super comfortable!
