Welcome to Sands II 1-J! Our lovely small condo community has been freshly painted for the 2024 season, with new carpet on the outdoor stairwells! Relax and enjoy sunrises and sunsets with an ocean view or a lake view. Your culinary nature will be at home in our kitchen with granite countertops, a deep stainless sink with upgraded faucet, upgraded stainless appliances and custom tile backsplash, you'll know that meal time is the realtime. For meals out, walk less than a mile up the beach to the Boardwalk, Oceanfront dining at Carolina Smokehouse, or live music at Sea Witch. The beach access point is right beside us for easy back and forth trips to the beach. You'll be sure to love Sands II 1-J for years to come!

Parking: 2 assigned parking spots below unit. Park in assigned spots to avoid being towed.

If you are coming prior to memorial day and after labor day with the intention of using the outdoor pool, please check in advance if it will be open for your stay. We typically have the pool open around May 1st and closed October 1 but those dates can vary based on the weather. This follows the same schedule as most pools in Wilmington.

Rental Policies:

In response to increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Arrival/ Departure:
Summer Check Ins: (June-August) begin at 4:00 pm and are guaranteed by 6:00 pm
Off Season Check Ins: begin at 3:00 pm and are guaranteed by 5:00 pm
Check Out: is by 10:00 am
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early early or plan to delay your departure.

House Rules:
NO events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities
NO Smoking

Pet Policy:
No pets allowed. While this is not a pet friendly property, the owner does have a dog who occupies the property for a few weeks in the winter season.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re rented. If premises are re rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

Things to Do:

Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!

Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Rent a Jeep, bicycle, or golf cart as the most convenient ways to navigate the island. Annual off- season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

Great Family Vacation We loved that this condo was very clean and well prepared for guests, nice updates and a welcoming feel. The location is perfect, just steps from the walkway to the beach and a few short blocks to the boardwalk! The linen service was so convenient, with plenty of towels and the beds made on our arrival! The only suggestion we have would be to replace the pillows...every member of the family commented about how uncomfortable they were! The breezy porch was a relaxing gathering place for all of us throughout the week. Thanks for a wonderful week!

We had a wonderful experience and found the property to be well designed and convenient to everything. Such a short walk to the Boardwalk meant we didn't take the car out much. Entertainment at the Boardwalk was great. Even though the amusement park is a bit shoddy and old, it continues to be fun for the kids. A+ on the fireworks!

Lovely condo, town and beach! We enjoyed our stay very much! Beach access is very convenient, as is the proximity to the boardwalk and many restaurants. Would stay there again.

Excellent, easy access to the beach! The condo was very nice and was right across the beach. It was very nice inside and plenty of room for our family. The only downside is there is a linen fee that is required if you want to use their linens such as towels, wash rags, and sheets. We brought our own to avoid the cost since it was a high fee. Other than that the place was great for my family.

I would give Sands II 1-J 5 Stars! The location is perfect...just steps to the beach and close enough to walk to the Boardwalk. There are many restaurants near-by and fun shops to visit. The pool is a plus! This is our fifth year staying at this complex (Sands II) and our second time at Sands II 1-J. Seacoast Rentals is the best. Consent communication and updates. I was well-informed about everything. The staff was always friendly. We will be back!

This is our second time staying at Sand II 1-J. We enjoyed this stay as much as we did our first stay. When we arrived, we noticed how well-maintained and extremely clean the condo was. We also were very satisfied with the improvements that had been made since our 2014 stay. We were a little disappointed with the Internet. The quick check-out was simple and convenient. On behalf of my family, we appreciated the hospitality from Sea Coast Rentals and the family who owns Sands II 1-J. We have stayed at least five different properties at Carolina Beach over the more than ten years we have vacationed there. Sand II 1-J is our favorite. The condo feels less like a place you are renting and more like home for the week. The kitchen is one of best parts of the rental because it has literally anything you can think of provided. We also very much enjoyed the porches and the pool. Thank you again for helping us to have a great vacation! We will see you next year!

This is our fifth year staying at Sands II- 1-J. Needless to say, we definitely love the unit. Everything is there for your convenience. We did miss the television in the middle bedroom this year. We'd stayed at the Sands II 1-J the last week of July 2013. It was the most wonderful, relaxing family vacation we've ever had. The condo was spacious and had everything we needed. The parking underneath was awesome - no hot vehicle. All the appliances were highend and the beds were so comfortable. The pool was secluded, clean and refreshing. The location was the best! We walked to the boardwalk and resturants, also the lake/dog walking park was right across the street! We hung out on the porch at night - plenty of room and great breeze. This was the 2nd year we stayed at the Sands II - we will definitely go again next year!
